Dr. Tom Steel is the Head of School at Fulford Academy. Dr. Steel has been an academic administrator in international, university preparatory boarding schools in Canada over the past two decades. His expertise includes developing school policy and procedures that ensure effective learning.

Dr. Steel has been involved in instructional supervision and curriculum development and has a passion for the integration of the Canadian outdoors into both in the curriculum and in the learning environment. The effective use of technology in the classroom is also an interest of his, and he has focused on incorporating humanist ideas and higher order cognition to bolster weaknesses in programmed technological instruction.

Dr. Steel has spearheaded ventures in subject amalgamation through themed project based learning under a student centred model.

Suzan Kendall is the Associate Head of School at Fulford Academy. As President and CEO of Fulford Academy and Kendall & Associates Educational Consultants Inc., she is responsible for bringing the Curriculum Team together to implement "School in a Box", with the philosophy and goals of the English Enrichment program offered on the main campus of Fulford Academy.

Suzan has over 25 year experience in the education field; Queen's University, Bishop's College School and Fulford Academy. Fulford Academy teaches English literacy through the core subjects of Math, Science, Social Studies and English literature thus increasing student literacy skills and classroom vocabulary.

As the owner of Fulford Academy, Suzan's focus is to provide other school administers with a comprehensive and consistent program to allow the teachers to focus on teaching North American curriculum from a collaborative perspective.

Lori Warren is the Project Manager of the Curriculum Development Team at Fulford Academy. Currently, Lori oversees the operation of the development of Canadian curriculum for publication in foreign markets.

Lori has over 12 years of experience owning and operating her own successful private elementary school where development of specifically tailored curriculum was the focus. Lori has extensive experience managing a team and truly enjoys the challenges involved in helping everyone strive to reach his or her full potential. Her energetic and passionate training style engages audiences of all types and truly facilitates learning of new material and skills.

Emily Hawksby is a Curriculum Developer at Fulford Academy. Currently, Emily is developing Canadian curriculum for publication in foreign markets.

As a teacher, Emily has experience both internationally and within Canada. Emily has taught elementary English as a Second Language at an international private prep school in Japan and was primarily responsible for the implementation of new curriculum and classroom structure. Her experiences teaching at Fulford Academy for the past two years, combined with her management experience, gives her an edge in her role as a Curriculum Developer.

Emma Mayer is a Curriculum Developer at Fulford Academy. Currently, Emma is developing Canadian curriculum for publication in foreign markets.

As a teacher, Emma has experience both in the public and private education systems. Emma has taught elementary and high school grades in the public education system and, has been teaching ESL at Fulford Academy for the past two years. Emma has a flare for creating curriculum designed to meet the needs of the students. Emma's creative and artistic talents are also beneficial in her role as Curriculum Developer.

Mark is the Head of Layout and Design for the Curriculum Development Team at Fulford Academy. Currently, Mark is spearheading the Layout and Design of Canadian curriculum programs for publication in foreign markets.

Mark has over 12 years of experience creating various layouts and designs of Corporate Training material for a variety of firms in both Canada and the United States. Mark's professional life has centered on fine arts, creativity and technological design. Mark's creative and artistic talents, combined with his knowledge of technological layout and design programs produce, exceptional curriculum material.

Paula Gilder Paula Gilder, Curriculum Design Assistant, School In A Box

Paula is a Curriculum Design Assistant for the Curriculum Development Team at Fulford Academy. Paula is currently assisting with the layout and design of Canadian curriculum programs for publication in foreign markets.

Paula has over 12 years of experience as a Corporate Trainer with various firms. She has always been involved in helping to create and design the material she presents. Most recently, Paula has also become a successful entrepreneur. She owns a unique store, Just Paula's and a holistic treatment facility, Paula and Friends, which balances the fast pace of training and design with the more tranquil world of peaceful energy.

Barb Budd Barb Budd, Editor, School In A Box

Barb is the editor for the Curriculum Development Team at Fulford Academy. Barb is currently editing the development, layout and design of Canadian curriculum programs for publication in foreign markets.

As an author, Barb has experience in both writing and editing of English text. Her professional experience in the Communications department of Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology has had her working directly with English as a Second Language students from all over the world. Combined, her experience in communications, writing and editing allows for Barb to be a benefit to the Curriculum Development team at Fulford Academy.
